Castle Island Camps has been family owned since 1929. Since that time, guests have enjoyed a fun, stress-free vacation whether they come to do serious fishing, or just relaxing.  We are an American Plan Camp where guests enjoy three delicious, home cooked meals each day.  This includes a full, all you can eat breakfast, home made soups, desserts and dinner entrees such as lobster, filet mignon, roasted turkey, and haddock chowdah' to name a few!

The camp is located at the mid point of beautiful Long Pond in Belgrade, Maine.  This creates easy boat access to both the north and south ends of the lake. The north end of the lake not only provides quality fishing, but easy water access to downtown Belgrade.  The south end of the lake has the same quality fishing with many streams and inlets. Ingham Stream is 1 and 1/2 miles long and an experience of its own!   Scattered islands contribute to the majestic beauty of this lake. For wild-life enthusiasts, Loons, Bald Eagles, Blue Herring, and occasionally Moose or Deer are exciting to spot!

Fishing is still the primary draw for the majority of guests and for good reason!  Long Pond is home to a large variety of species - Large and Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Salmon, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Black Crappie, White Perch and our new state record (illegally stocked) -  Walleye.  Long Pond continues to be a focal point of the state's controlled stocking program, creating excellent fishing from early spring until late fall.
